Cold Moon

The days are getting shorter, the nights longer. Darkness extends. Life moves underground to sleep or for warmth -- it moves into the dark soil for warmth. We tend to associate light with warmth but on these colder days even the sun cannot seem to reach us. We have tilted so that the directness of heat skates by as if heading for something beyond us. In the absence of light then we look to ourselves for healing, for connection, for renewal.

I am hosting a Moon Circle on Saturday December 10th. We will begin with nourishment often in the form a soup made by yours truly -- then we light the fire and sit together. The intention is to offer presence to one another as we take turns sharing whatever is on the heart. We seek our center, and we find it through stillness and listening. For me the circle is not about worship but rather connection. Sitting on the earth, warming our bodies with fire, introspection, contemplation -- this, I believe is how community becomes. How transformation happens and how we heal. Through connection to Nature and each other. If you are interested in joining the circle, message me. I will share the details with you.

My hope for you this Cold Moon cycle is that you find stillness. May we find a way to release all but that which roots us in love.

Peace to you, my friend. Always.
